I visit Mpumalanga at the very least once a year, I don’t plan to I just seem to always find myself there. It’s an easy weekend trip for those of us lucky enough to live in Limpopo, you can do Mpumalanga on a budget and it’s beautiful so I recommend a visit to everyone.
On my last trip I rediscovered my love for coffee. I love coffee, it’s one of those things I picked up from my father. And don’t get me wrong, when I say I love coffee I’m not in any way saying I’m one of those people who proudly wear the badge of coffee snob with pride. NOOO, I’m not at the level of those who proudly proclaim they only drink coffee grown in the Congo. I love a good honest cup of Jacobs medium brew served warm not hot (yes I let my coffee cool down) black made with equal parts coffee and sugar – I take two spoons of each.
So the discovery of Sabie Valley Coffee was a pleasant surprise. The world of a simple cup of Jacobs changed when I discovered Sabie Valley Coffee, I was tickled pink at the seeing the roasting machine, was in love with the industrial feel of the store and was blown away by the strong intense coffee aroma that hung thick in the air. Sabie Valley Coffee is a must visit if you ever find yourself in White River, I recommend you get the medium roast, it is probably the perfect accompaniment for white toast with butter and strawberry jam.
